Short films for Sakshi
We have been commissioned to make 100 short films for the NGO - Sakshi, as part of The Rakshin Project.
The first short film “Be BeKhauf” on cyber harassment was launched by Sakshi on social media for Women’s Day, on 12th March 2023, with a series of panel discussions and conversations regarding online harassment, digital safety and creating safe spaces for all.
The second short film “Yeh Pyaar Nahin, Gharelu Himsa Hai” on domestic violence was released by Sakshi, in November 2023 as part of the United Nations (UN) 16 days of activism to end gender violence. This film was supported by a series of panel discussions and conversations with experts, victims and advocates for victims of abuse.
The third short film “Hope & Trauma” will be released shortly.
These 3 short films have been made possible by a generous donation from Girish Kumar, co-founder of "Thunai", a Chennai based NGO that works in the areas of trauma and maternal health and well-being. Girish says, "I was attracted to the ability of 3 Peepul Productions to combine creativity with social impact in their films."
